Follow-Up on Anticipation Guide.

You should hold onto your dreams; if you work hard enough for them, they will come true.
This picture is a strong representation of this statement , because there is many people who's only dream is to graduate. With graduation that is something that if you work hard enough for then it will come true. As long as you are willing to do what your higher up powers ask you to do its not very difficult.

This picture is also linked to the play by the fact that Beneatha's goal is to graduate college and become a doctor. She has a few struggles along the way. Not only from her family but from her spiritual mindset herself. She is a very strong-willed person which drives her to be everything she wanted to be...and more.

Once children are grown, their parents are no longer responsible for them. This picture strongly describes this statement because this is a picture of a few troubled looking teens. I think that their parents will always be responsible for them in a certain way. Because a parental bond is something that will always be there, its not something that will just go away.

This picture isnt necessarily linked to the play in general, Beneatha nor Walter is what I would consider a "troubled" teen. They pretty much followed the rules that Mama set in general, she really didnt have to get on to them too much. Although they did have a few issues with greedy-ness, but who doesnt. (:

Sometimes swallowing your pride is necessary for survival. I think that this is a necessary statement because you kind of have to swallow your pride at times just to get people to quiet down about how they feel, even if they dont feel as strongly about it as you do.

I think that this picture is linked to the story just because this story reminds me of a painful event that you dont really want to swallow although you have to. There are various times throughout the story that Beneatha just needed to swallow her pride and get over it, although she didnt, until the end of the story when she shaved her head and made a huge statement.

Scholarship Essay(:

True Love and Dedication…High School Sports
Some people become intimidated when even talking in front of a crowd, let alone screaming. Many people are afraid of deep waters, and last but not least almost everyone is afraid of getting hurt. Welcome to my life…Cheerleading and diving the two words that basically tells the story of my life, at least as long as I can remember.
Throughout High School Diving and Cheerleading has taken up most of my time. With practices, games, meets, and various team building activities I am a very busy person. There has never been a moment in time when trading either of these sports has ever crossed my mind, not to say that I haven’t been frustrated, or upset with it, but not enough to give up.
Making posters as a sixth grader, forming a Spirit Club as a seventh grader, and proposing my committee in front of the Pike County School Corporation as an eighth grader. My goal before graduating High School was to raise the school spirit level at both the Middle School, and the High School level. Being Selected as Cheerleading captain 4 years in a row only made my goal easier to reach. As a graduating senior I would like to say that I think I have put forth the most effort in doing so.
Smacking, Crying, Yelling, Screaming…My diving progress throughout High School. Never did the fear of the pain make we want to quit, One dive seemed to stand in my way everything seemed to be so difficult as if no one understood., until I pushed past the fear and stood up to myself which made all the difference, resulting in six days later winning the Conference.
