True Love and Dedication…High School Sports
Some people become intimidated when even talking in front of a crowd, let alone screaming. Many people are afraid of deep waters, and last but not least almost everyone is afraid of getting hurt. Welcome to my life…Cheerleading and diving the two words that basically tells the story of my life, at least as long as I can remember.
Throughout High School Diving and Cheerleading has taken up most of my time. With practices, games, meets, and various team building activities I am a very busy person. There has never been a moment in time when trading either of these sports has ever crossed my mind, not to say that I haven’t been frustrated, or upset with it, but not enough to give up.
Making posters as a sixth grader, forming a Spirit Club as a seventh grader, and proposing my committee in front of the Pike County School Corporation as an eighth grader. My goal before graduating High School was to raise the school spirit level at both the Middle School, and the High School level. Being Selected as Cheerleading captain 4 years in a row only made my goal easier to reach. As a graduating senior I would like to say that I think I have put forth the most effort in doing so.
Smacking, Crying, Yelling, Screaming…My diving progress throughout High School. Never did the fear of the pain make we want to quit, One dive seemed to stand in my way everything seemed to be so difficult as if no one understood., until I pushed past the fear and stood up to myself which made all the difference, resulting in six days later winning the Conference.
